Saaksha & Kinni are a Mumbai based designer-duo and founders of their eponymous label. Along with being colleagues, they’re also sisters-in-law. The label was launched keeping in mind their combined vision for India’s tradition & culture. A treasure trove of heritage and a longstanding history of unity in diversity, Saaksha and Kinni’s creations are built with the modern Indian woman as the muse. The label strives to create clothing that is impactful and can be worn for various occasions as well. Before launching their own Designer Clothing, the designer duo gained relevant experience in designing embroidery swatches, etc. for leading brands. Ellie Saab, Balmain, and Armani to name a few. Later, they decided to put their skills into their very own creations. They also use much loved Indian fabrics like chanderi, and textile printing techniques like bandhani and ikat, along with stunning stone embroidery.

The brand also aims to make clothing that can be globally worn by women even if the inspiration for the same is local. Along with making traditional Indian silhouettes like Sarees, Lehenga, etc. the brand also makes everyday clothing which is one of their USPs and a key factor in versatility. The sisters have travelled extensively across Indian cities and villages to meet weavers or craftspeople that are the backbone of our crafts community, and claim to have come face to face with innovative techniques that people haven’t heard of yet even internationally. This just shows the kind of dedication and storyline they have built for their brand, and that shows in all their designer collections.
